CD's, Shopping and more

I have been part of this cd swap and have been receiving some great cd's from some great bloggers lately including Cher, Erin, Crystal, Justine, Dana, Steph, and Cath. Still a few more to arrive and I can't wait. I am also participating in this one and the first cd arrive today. Mine are already to go tomorrow.
I popped into an op shop near Jeff's parents today and picked up some more Golden Books, some 45 records and this Dr Suess book in French. My mind is buzzing with ideas.

Lucy has decided she only needs 1 sleep a day but it all got a bit much for her last night and she fell asleep having her dinner.

It's Beginning To Look Alot Like Christmas

We ventured into the city today to the Sydney Christmas Parade along with the rest of Sydney by the looks of it. It turned out to be very hot but there was a bit of a breeze near the water. Here we are on the ferry (well not me because I'm taking the picture)

Of course Charlotte couldn't see so Daddy's shoulders became a great seat
There were lots of floats, bands, dancers and of course Santa.
It all got a bit too much for Lucy!
We had a great time though and look forward to next years.

Softies for Mirabel - Superheros

I finished my softies and they are on the way here. Overall I was pretty happy with them although they were supposed to look like monster superheros but Charlotte thinks they look like cats! next time I think I am going to make them look more like people.
Charlotte is pretty happy with the small one I made as the test so I think I will make her and Lucy one and put a superhero emblem on them. They have a cape on the back as you can see here.

My Baby Turns 1!

This year has gone incredibly quickly. I can't believe that this time last year I had a newborn in my arms. Lucy was born via c-section at 9.30am on 16th November 2006. A few problems with the epidural but then our beautiful girl was in our arms. It's been a year of ups and downs with Lucy and she is still has a bit of a problem going to sleep but her cheeky smile and infectious giggle warm our heart every day. (p.s. she has a tshirt with a number 1 on it here but I just couldn't get her to stay still)
Our family is now complete with our two beautiful girls and we couldn't ask for anything more.

The Lurkers Unveiled

Welcome to my new commentors (I'm sure that's not a word by the way). It was lovely to 'meet' you. I have decided to send something to each of you so if Sue, Mands, Charlene and Cath could email me your addresses something will be in the post as soon as possible.

Flashback Friday - Family

I can't find my photo album so I will just have to do a photo of my brother and I. This must have been taken in 1972 as he was born in November 1971 and he looks to be over 6 months. I loved my long hair (why did I ever cut it). I love the bow mum has put in there too.

Lurkers remember to de-lurk to win a prize.

My baby is growing up

This week Lucy started walking. She has only taken between 5-10 steps at a time so far and then she seems to realise she has walked and plops down on her bottom and laughs. I've been trying to upload a video but it won't let me so you will just have to make do with this action shot.

I have also just noticed I have has 5000 visitors to my blog and I would really love to hear from all the lurkers out there. So if you have never commented on my blog before and do so before next Friday I will send you out a little surprise.

Then I saw this post here about these shrinky sheets and just knew I had to get some. I had a play around yesterday and boy are they fun. I am definitely going to get some more of these.

Flashback Friday - My Stylish Mum

This week's theme is my stylish mum. I looked through a few photos and found these two. The first is my beautiful mum on her wedding day, so of course she was looking very stylish. She married late but I can't remember the year but it was probably about 1963/4.

The next picture shows my mum (on the right) at my cousin's wedding. "Love those white shoes, mum!" . On the left is my aunt being very 70's in the long white dress (I bet it was cheesecloth). I'm sure if I dug harder I could have found some great 'stylish' photos. Love you mum xx.
