Yes I chose to accept. Of course it was crowded (although not as bad as their Marrickville closing down sale), I had Lucy in the pram and Charlotte wandering around. Do you know how hard it is to push a pram, and a dodgy one at that, while holding blots of fabric!
Didn't actually need that much but I am sure I will use it
So it was a quick fire mission today. I grabbed some fabrics I particularly wanted, including the last of the denim I love for more S-cargos. I managed to have a quick chat with a fellow agent and then we were gone.
Heather Bailey (Charlotte picked this for a Christmas dress)
Last night I popped into the Finders Keeps market. There were lots of people around but I did manage to pick up the Frankie Afternoon Tea book. I have been eyeing it off on the web for ages but I like to look at cook books before I buy them.

Good work agent. Your reward will be the knowledge that your country continues to exist in a democracy because of your efforts.
Eeek I have enough trouble with bolts of fabrics without the kiddies and a pram. How long until Charlotte is strong enough to help with the mission?
oh the dodgy pram...i have scary memories of shopping with a pram and trolley at the same time...before they had the capsule trolleys and i had to do that every week...yuk...
love the fabrics and the dress fabric will look great...
Well done - I am pleased to hear that you were successful in your mission. Love what you came home with too!
Good choices...I have to say when I popped in later was hoping to find some of that Denyse Schmidt fabric! Oh well at least it has gone to a good home :)
Oooh nice haul Cass!
The pram can be handy for balancing fabric on I sometimes find, or for parting a crowd....
Love the fabric Charlotte chose.
You did an amazing job to get such beautiful fabrics under those conditions! Well done! :)
Well done Cass. Yes, I do know how hard it is to balance bolts while trying to wrangle a pram and a pre-schooler! You did very well!
Well done! I love that Heather Bailey fabric, and have bought a couple of metres (at full RRP!) to do a strippy quilt.
Well done Agent Cass! You did well at the sale with 2 kids and managed to get so many lovely fabrics too.
Isn't that book lovely. I spent ages oohing and ahhing over it with a girlfriend and then had to go back and buy. A Christmas present to me!!
You did extraordinarily well to get anything in a sale - nay, to CONSIDER GOING to a sale with two littlies in tow.
PS. I've been eyeing off that Denyse Schmidt quilt print for a while.... that's MY kind of quilting!!!
Great shopping Cass! I love the fabric that Charlotte chose too! I can't wait to see her Christmas dress.
ooo....my Anzac biscuits recipe is in that cookbook! :)
oh that Frankie book looks wonderful! A must have I think. The fabric sale with 2 little ones does sound like a nightmare. I get stressed taking my girls to Spotlight and they are 16 and 9!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Too Funny! Prams and bolts of fabric just do not work well do they.
I braved CraftDepot the other week with my 2 and continue to regret it.
With a sticky bum, no toilet and a 3 year old lifting up an already annoyed by the noisy little children older shopper.
I managed to torture the shoppers and myself for over 1 hour and many dollars later.
TIP: 1 child in any store is one too many but better than 2 - lucky for us 1 is off to school 5 days out of 7.
Total empathy from this quarter! I wasn't there that day but took my little Miss Wink along to RW in the pram on another quite hot day recently and she had a total meltdown. The kind shop assistants helped me with some diversionary tactics but I ended up with a very odd assortment of fabrics due to total distraction from the task at hand....
ohhh you lucky thing! I got the mail out but ummed and ahhed could I do it and sadly no didn't make it but of course now regret it as I LOVE everything you got!
must go to their new store one day!
Corrie:)
