I've been working on a little project using a kit bought at the
Stitches and Craft Show last year, obviously I bought too much there!

This lovely purse kit comes from
Nicole Mallalieu and I was a bit scared to tackle it because the pattern 'advanced' and it also used some beautiful
Lara Cameron fabric, but it was surprisingly easy to make up even the frame which I was freaking out about.

I must admit though that this is only blog ready because I haven't crimped the frame yet, that is going to take a bit of courage, but it is securely glued in.
I can definitely see more of these little purses on the horizon

On the bright side your stash should be suitably de-stashed to refill at the next show.
The purse is great, I have always loved these and been a bit afraid too but I think I will give them a go after your post.
You are the advanced of the advanced bag makers Cass! Cute bag!
Ooh advanced...I don't know if I'm up to it! But I did put in a request for one of these for my birthday and I think it's hidden in Michael's half of the wardrobe somewhere!
It looks gorgeous! I still have the little frame at home but I haven't had a chance to make it up yet. I have that fabric in pink and after seeing yours I'm going to use it. It's so sweet with the little birdie feature.
ohh thats lovely.. so adorable.. I want one.. I would never be able to do a kit though.. all I can sew are little lavender rice warm bags and small things of no concequence... cant wait to see you make more!
cass it is lovely!those frames freak me out! but after looking at your cute purse i think i will try it:)
I love it. I might have to brave the advanced rating and do one too.
So cute Cass!! Well Done!
awww what an adorable little purse! I've been eyeing off those patterns and frames for ages, but also been too scared to tackle one just yet.
oooh Noice Cass, noice.
Love the positioning of the birds on it - watch out one of your girls doesn't try and snaffle it for their spare change - I know my two would if it lived at my house!
thanks for popping by! love the purse - i wanted to try that too.. well done.

You did a FAB job with this, Cass. So glad you eventually got around to it.
I thought they were for INTERMEDIATE sewing skills...?
