I have a couple of ideas and would love to hear your views. Now of course I don't expect you to give me this valuable information for nothing there will be a prize random prize awarded but only for those that have an opinion.

OK
Option 1 - same as the kids version but with pens
Option 2 - same size as the kids with the small moleskin, a notepad shopping list and space for 1 pen
Option 3 - larger size moleskin and a couple of pens
Option 4 - larger moleskin, shopping list and pen
Option 5 - any other ideas?????

Let me know what you think by Sunday night and I'll draw a winner on Monday and let you know what the prize will be. It will probably include something handmade and some fabric.

Thanks for your help

I'm going with option number 4. And I think it would be sooo handy. I'm forever looking in my bag for a pen, then once I've found it, something to write on! Can't wait to see what you come up with!

I think option 2, small moleskin and notepad will fit in my bag better, and I don't need more than one pen stashed neatly away in there.

Best of luck :)

I think a couple of pens (in case someone pinches one!) and a small notebook.

I will go with option 2 Cass. Something small enough to pop in your bag - but big enough to find and you really dont need too many pens.

I like big notebooks so I would go with Option 4.

I like option 2 as well. Handy for a small bag and a larger bag too.

this one sounds like a great idea. It would be the right size for most bags. I love this idea. I always have a small moleskin and a pen swimming around in my purse, but i always have to dig for one and then the other. it would be nice to have them together like that.

I think Option 2 as it sounds like a good size to throw in a bag.

I think option 2 but I would add a little pocket of some sort if there was room - you know a ticket / coin / appointment card kind of size maybe with a button? I always end up with these vital bits sifting to the bottom of the bag and so the combo would then be perfect for me!
Great idea!

I like option 2 with the smaller pad, but maybe room for 2 pens as I am renown for leaving them behind. Also a small pocket or "slot pocket" where I could put my little calculator, or a note or thingamajig ;)

option 2 here too :)

Great idea Cass! Option 2. I like the idea of all things needed for shopping list writing packaged up into a little bundle.

'Option 4 - larger moleskin, shopping list and pen'

Definitely this one! Searching in my bag for a pen is a nightmare! With this I would know where it is and also have paper handy too!

I would definitely buy one, please let us know if you sell these online!

Option 4 would suit my personal choice, but for the broader public think Option 2 would be safer option

Personally I'd love Option 3 just for me!!! (but that's only cause I'd love to take my journal everywhere!)

BTW where do you buy those particular moleskins from?

Hi Cass,

sounds like option 2 is the winner here and I have to say I agree. Pen and paper in the one place when you've got 2 kids hanging off you will make life easier for jotting down those web addresses you spot in a mag at the doctor's surgery... is it just me that does that?

For me, I'd go for a small note book with only a pen. I would substitute the ribbons with elastic around it or have a tab with press stud/velcro to close it.

Larger moleskine and pen for me. I'm moleskine addicted!! I need your opinion too on my blog. I am trying to work out which paintings would sell best.
This links to my old blog so here's my new one:

I think option 2. I usually carry a quite small handbag (so I purposefully can't load it with too much stuff). It needs to be small enough to fit easily with the rest of the basics (purse, keys, phone, tissues, medicine etc).
I'm forever looking for a pen and notepad, and the moleskin would be great for blog ideas on the run!

I think option 2 would be the best, as I always have so many other things in my bag (purse, keys, phone, fold-up umbrella, iPod etc.

Im going option 2, and I love the idea of the extra pocket for business cards or the like oh and a spot for my lipgloss would be cool to ;)

What a good idea: I would like Option 5 whoch is really Option 4 but with 2 pens because there is always the worry one won't write, and I agree about a little pocket as well. I would find that very useful!! Good luck deciding.

Hi Cass, I am going for option 4. I have a big bag so need big stuff to go in there. I only need one pen and would like it if it was in a place I could actually find!

I like option 3, if that's the same size notebook as the "recipe" one that I once got from snailblazer. I used this for nearly everything for ages.

At point, I was actually going to email you and order and suggest a small pen loop to be sewed on the side. Does that count as a new idea?

And if you missed it, Remnant Warehouse is 25% off until the 16th.

Hey Cass, I think option 4. I would love one of those for my handbag!

I guess it depends on your target market. If it is to go into a handbag for everyday use then Option Two is a good allrounder but if you are looking to sell to the drawer/journaller then perhaps Option Three.

i think option two cass. I would want it in my bag 24/7 so the small size would suit. I also like the idea of swapping moleskin with kikki k small diary. Fiona

I have to agree with option 2 as well - seems very popular! The smaller size is great to fit into any size bag - I think the larger size would be too big, especially if you are like me and seem to already carry around everything but the kitchen sink in your bag! lol

Xena said...

either option 4 or 2.I'd buy both one for the little bags one for the big bags.

Marie said...

My vote is for option 2. It seems the perfect size and would be handy for keeping handbags better organised and for something to do while you are waiting for a bus/train etc.

Beth said...

I like option 2 or 4. 2 would be convenient, but I do prefer large moleskins too!

Marina said...

I definitely vote for Option 2!

I'd go with option 2. Perfect size to carry in your bag.

Option 2 Cass, a shopping list and a pen would be perfect!

Option #2 would work for me.

Option 2 would be perfect to take along in your handbag - a personal organiser. I am sure they will be best sellers:)

Option 2 but with 2 pens, I find I only ever need 1 notepad but like to have a couple of pens.

Cass I'm so sorry I missed your call for help! I'm very behind on my blog reading in the past couple of weeks with trying to get ready for Mathildas.

I'm not sure if this is any use to you at all but I would go with Option 3 or 4. I never seem to have enough room to sketch in the smaller moleskins.

I LOVE that you are putting moleskins in, I have one that I carry everywhere with me and constantly have pens floating around in my bag so I'd definitely use that.
