Just as we were leaving for Lucy's first day of school on Monday I noticed a package in the letterbox. I knew I hadn't ordered anything lately so I ripped it open as the kids were getting in the car and was surprised to see this from my lovely friend Karen
She had recently made these art smocks for her girls and I commented that Lucy would be going in a bought one as I was slack and being such a lovely person she made one for Lucy. The card was so lovely it bought a tear to my eye and it made me realize even more how lucky I am to have found some wonderful friends through crafting.
Here's Lucy trying it out that night, fits perfectly. Thanks again Karen.

Oh Cass, what a gorgeous surprise for both you and Lucy! She is a great gal... I'm so thankful you were thoughtful to hook me up with her on my move to Melbourne... thank you!
awwww, that's gorgeous Cass. Lucy, the smock and the surprise gift. Reminded me I better make one for my Miss Beth.....
You're very welcome, it's called Karma Cass - glad it fits and she seems to like it!!
I figured paint splodges would be concealed within the pattern once she gets busy in art class.
(and thanks Cath - not happy you might be getting Cath back Cass!!).
