Vintage Illustrations - Day 2

Thanks to Pip for letting me into this meme. I am struggling with which books to pick and I haven't even looked at my Golden Book, Dr Suess or Enid Blyton collection yet. I am thinking I might have to dedicate a day each week to vintage illustrations.

The book I have chosen is Poems to Read to Young Australians by Mary Gilmore & Lydia Pender and illustrated by June Gulloch. It is my original copy given to me Christmas 1969 (I was 3, yes I am old!). I loved this book and can't wait for my girls to be as engrossed with it as I was.

OH! I adore this book! Did you know that there are a couple in this series?! Both equally wonderful! Thankyou for scanning and sharing, lovely girl! Such a treat!

Oh I have a copy of this too Cass. But sadly mine is a cutter with lots of scribbled pages. I have just made some lottielulu tags with it.

Ingrid I could never cut mine up although the pages are starting to fall out again and the sticky tape is yellowing.

Pip - I didn't know there were others but I think Charlotte might have gotten one recently as a gift but it was more Australian verses. Not sure if it is part of this group though. I would love to find the others
