Sewing Cards

I finally got around to making some sewing cards I have been planning for ages. I picked up some damaged vintage Miffy books ages ago and used some parts for different things and then I was talking to Ingrid about them and she said they would make great sewing cards.

I put them away in the cupboard and didn't think about them until I recently picked up a packet of plastic sewing needles, can't even remember where now and immediately thought they would fit the bill.
I've mounted the pages on cardstock, punched some holes, tried them out with various threads and am now hoping to pick up some felt at the Stitches and Craft to make envelopes for them. I am planning on 4 in a pack and I have about 4 or 5 sets of Miffy. I've also got some other damaged books that could work.

Haha! I just bought the Moda one for my kids last week! I haven't given it to them yet, just waiting for a day when they drive me totally up the wall to bring up something new for them to play.

WOW Cass. What a fabulous idea. That is recycling at it's best. And to combine a loved character with paper and sewing, that is awesome.
