Oh Cass, I LOVE it, Charlotte looks adorable in the pink and green. Great idea with the crown, and very neat stitching! She will definitely stand out in the crowd with that home made beauty!
very cute! perhaps try a hot wash and tumble dry to soften it a little. ( i have some denim i have now hot washed 3 times and tumbledried once, i know it will soften one day! lol)
Brazen, thanks for that tip I will give that a go. I am one of those that don't wash before sewing. Just can't be bothered so hopefully it will soften with washing.
Cass, this is great!! I often do crowns as well. I love applique with nice straight edges, I guess because I am lazy, lol. Can you try fabric softener on the skirt?

I love those colours. The outfit looks great. I am quite slack about washing the fabric too. I wash about 50%.
