A Great Night's Sewing

Well I haven't sewn for a few days and it was great to be doing some sewing again. I found out today that my hairdresser had a baby girl recently so I thought I would make her something. I made a softie and a bag to deliver it in.

I also decided to make a bag up in the fabric I got from Ebay a while ago (following your suggestion Natalie). This is the result. I loosely used a pattern although made a few "modifications". Next time I would make the strap a bit longer but as I don't have a bag to use when just nipping to the shops it will come in handy.

The bags are really cool. I love the fabric, and the shape of the bag. A woman can never have too many bags, I reckon. And, I am sure your hairdresser would love the nicely packaged softie too.

I love your softie and bag gift set - such a lovely idea!

Your bag looks fantastic too, I love the fabric. I just got some green / blue paisley from Autumn threads that is begging to be a bag as well.
