These are the shorts I made for Charlotte's little friend who is having a birthday on Sunday. I'm sure he won't be excited but we will get him something toy-related to go with them. I put a pocket on the back although I am not 100% happy with it.
Ingrid - you may recognise this fabric.

Andrea, I always use the easy pants pattern because it is easy LOL and that is about what I can cope with

hehe Cass, yep it's the same one I used for minster monster's shorts. I have put a pocket on the easy pants/shorts pattern a few times now and it seems to come out better when the pocket is on the side of the leg like a cargo pocket rather than on the back. Maybe try that next time :)

Ingrid - thanks re: pocket. I actually think I am going to take it off. The problem was I should have done the pocket before I sewed it all up (is that what you do?) but didn't think of it until after and then I couldn't get it right.

Hmm i would forego the pocket too. Maybe in the same fabric colour would work better?
Just to let you know that I took the pocket off the shorts and I think they look heap better
