This is..........

my favourite book. This was another hard one as I have so many favourites but this is the book I read time and time again and never get sick of.

To Kill A Mockingbird by Harper Lee

It always makes me cry every time (but I'm a bit of a sook anyway) but I feel really connected to the characters. I love the movie too, it is one of the few movies that is true to the book.

This would have to be my all time favourite children's book series - The Silver Brumby by Elaine Mitchell. I am always on the lookout for these in op shops but alas I have never found any. My other children's favourite was The Secret Seven and I am slowly rebuilding my collection of these, mainly vintage copies.

Thanks to Dees for this week's this is. Pop over to Angela's blog and see what everyone else is reading

I love To Kill a Mockingbird. It's on my shelf and I pick it up to read again every couple of years.

I also love To Kill a Mockingbird, and the film too. Never fails to make me cry though as well!

I just re-read this recently (for Book Club) and was surprised at how much I enjoyed it. Great choice!

Ahh Cass you're a woman after my own heart - I love all your selections, with a bit of Tim Winton thrown in for good measure!
I bought TKAM as a 'must have' and it has inspired my hubby to read it.

To Kill a Mockingbird is hands down the most brilliant book in the world..... it's held firm place at the top of my book list (and I read A LOT, so it's a pretty high honour) for many, many years.

I've read it once a year since I was eleven, and every year I find something new in it as my awareness and wisdom grows. Lovely. The film is bloody good too.

Fantastic choices - I was more into Famous Five than Secret Seven - how I wanted to have adventures like that every day!
